Our Story since 1965

What began in 1965 with Freddy Ginion’s small petrol station in the Belgian countryside has grown, step by step, into a family story shaped by a lasting connection to the automobile. From those early days as a BMW dealership to the creation of Ginion Group, and now the stewardship of Francorchamps Motors, each chapter has been guided by care, curiosity, and a love for the road and the track. Today, through Francorchamps Motors Edition, we continue to explore the world of driving—through experiences, encounters, and moments that stay with you.

Our Story & Vision

In 1965, in the Belgian countryside, Freddy Ginion took over a small petrol station. A quiet beginning that marked the start of something lasting. By 1966, it became an official BMW dealership, the first step in a story shaped by a deep connection to automobiles and the lives, as well as the adventures, built around them. Under the direction of his son-in-law, Stéphane Sertang, Ginion Group was created in 1998. The company then grew steadily, first with Volvo, then expanding to include Ferrari, Maserati, BMW, BMW Motorrad, MINI, and the import of Rolls Royce, McLaren, Touring Superleggera, and Pininfarina, across Belgium and Luxembourg. In 2022, Ginion Group refocused its path, concentrating on sustainable businesses and the world of leisure automobiles, alongside a growing interest in travel, collections, and culture. Today, Francorchamps Motors brings together the Ferrari dealerships in Brussels and Luxembourg, with Ferrari Classiche certification and service, while Francorchamps Motors Edition carries all events, collection, cultural, and design initiatives forward.

A Passion for Driving in Every Form

We move between track and road with the same care. In collaboration with AF Corse and Ferrari, our GT racing team extends a long tradition of performance, actively participating in the GT World Challenge. This spirit of competition follows in the footsteps of Belgium’s most storied private team, Écurie Francorchamps, founded by Jacques Swaters, whose legacy in endurance racing continues to inspire us. Today, Francorchamps Motors carries the heritage of the original Garage Francorchamps under our stewardship. Off the circuit, we design routes that create space for exploration, for the unexpected, or sponsor and take part in the iconic 1000 Miglia. Driving, for us, is also about atmosphere. The sound of an engine in the hills, the texture of a steering wheel, the stillness at a scenic overlook. It blends naturally with art, history and a sense of place.

60 Years and Beyond

As we approach sixty years as a family business, now joined by the third generation, we remain committed to what matters most: thoughtful movement, and the quiet ties it creates between people and places. We have never viewed cars as objects alone. They carry time, memory, and meaning. Stories shaped by people, places, and the roads between them. Today, we continue to guide clients not only toward a car, but toward a story worth continuing on roads that matter, at a pace of their own choosing.Whether through an escape or a race, we believe in the quiet significance of what driving and adventure can offer.

Francorchamps Motors Edition

Francorchamps Motors Edition is an expression of everything we have learned over time. Built on the experience of Master Switch, which has created more than 200 automotive events, and Ginion Classics, it brings together carefully planned escapes, sourcing, sharing, and a vision of the car as a companion, not a possession. Our work is quiet, tailored, and deeply considered, focused on moments that stay with you, not simply the mechanics that make them possible. We also explore what surrounds the car: objects, materials, textures, and details. Through a growing collection of objets de curiosité and design pieces, we create objects that reflect a broader way of living, with care, purpose, and a sense of time.

  • At Francorchamps Motors, we believe the most meaningful journeys begin well before the engine starts, and continue long after the road ends.
